Family Sunday Sugo - The Roman Mixed Pot

The taste of a real Roman Sunday. This is not a dish you will find in tourist restaurants. It's the mixed pot my mother made every Sunday for the whole family. We slowly braise together five different treasures: our Roman-style veal involtino, handmade pork sausage from Norcia, soft meatballs made from precious Scottona beef, tender Tuscan Cinta Senese pork, and sweet stuffed zucchini filled inside. Everything simmers for hours in a simple, fresh tomato sauce until the meat is falling apart and the sugo becomes rich and sweet. A hearty, generous sharing dish, to be eaten with lots of bread to clean the plate.
